Kansas Storms
After the game on Monday night a storm went through Butler County(ElDorado KS area). My mom called me the next morning at work and says " Hi pauses and cries". I hate calls like that. Anyway I guess they got 95-100 mile an hour straight line winds. They lost their roof(shingles), 3 of their big pines uprooted, and 4 more were cut off halfway. Some of their fruit trees were uprooted too. Also their old car and truck sit out and they were moved several feet, the truck into a tree. It broke some of the windows out of these vehicles. There was a corn cob stuck in the siding of the house. And it took the fence down around their lagoon, bending some of these poles. It hadn't started raining yet when this hit so it blew dirt everywhere. They had a foot of straw inbetween the screen and the sliding glass door. The screen was never opened. Just really strange things almost as if it was a tornado. Mom said they have shingles and corn stalks everywhere. We are going to try and go down next weekend to help them clean up and fix the fence. The roof is getting fixed this coming week. My brother Ron and his family also got hit. I know they have lots of tree damage and they lost a window on their porch. Their pole barn was damanged and will have to be torn down. Some of mom and dad's neighbors lost their out building and a cell tower came down. I called Bob's parents and they are fine with no damage. I am ready for spring but not this kind of weather!

Wow! Out of everywhere I have lived, Kansas has the strangest, most random weather.
Hope the repairs go well!
Holy Toleto! Crazy Kansas. :( That's terrible. Darn weather fighting the wrong people!
Oh My! It was windy here too but nothing like that. The windows we didn't have "latched" shut blew open, and a little tree damage. It does sound like they had a tornado though!!!
